Name: Adam

Birth date and place: I was born somewhere south of Manchester on the
30th March back in 1974. I didn't really live much during the eighties
so I'm not as old as it may appear.

First album you ever bought: I'm pretty sure it was Kings of The Wild
Frontier by Adam and The Ants back at the start of the eighties. We
shared a name which was good enough for my six year old self.

First gig you ever went to: Keeping up with consistency, it was Adam and
The Ants Price Charming Revue at the Apollo Theatre in Manchester for my
8th birthday. My mum ripped the piss out of me as I spent the first four
or so songs with my fingers in my ears as it was too bloody loud.

Top 3 movies: It's hard to nail a definite top three but let's go
with...

The Odd Couple

Once Upon a Time in the West

Dumb and Dumber

Top 3 TV shows:
Has to be Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm and anything
presented by Dan Cruickshank.

Nicest food in the world: Hot Dogs. Not the ones from London street
vendors though.

When I'm not listening to music: I'm...either reading about early 20th
Century graphic design and wishing I was back in the Eighties designing
record sleeves for New Order or watching a documentary that is only
going to depress me.

Pets: I had a budgie when I was a kid. It died.

Dream battle of the bands line up: Girls Aloud Vs. the newly reformed
Spice Girls with live ammunition. Naked (purely to confirm entry and
exit wounds).

Noise you most like to hear: at the moment: it's the two snare hits at
the start of Unknown Pleasures.

Noise you least like to hear: Tinny hip-hop blaring from the mobile
phones at the back of the top deck. If I ever find myself with a
particular penchant for having a cap popped in my ass then I may pluck
up the courage to point out that it's a slightly surreal presentation of
a genre that prides itself on a quality bottom-end.

Favourite quote: 'The winds of change they fucked up my hair'.

Dream interview: Scott Walker, Jason Pierce, Kraftwerk, Morrissey,
Leonard Cohen, Bowie, New Order...actually, Wayne Coyne of The Flaming
Lips would be good as he has this natural energy and charm that's only
going to make us both look good.

Your tombstone will say: ...end of part 1
